The Cageless Project is designed to help people break free from their inner prison — whether that presents as addictive behaviour, chronic anxiety, or dysregulated emotional patterns underpinning unwanted behaviours — by strengthening mental and emotional capacity through applied nervous system regulation — where emotional stability and embodied safety become the foundation for mental wellbeing.
At its heart is Mary-Anne Quezel (also known as Frankie), Author of A Pocket Full of Essence 101 trauma relief practices so you feel emotionally secure. And Cageless for Inmates, an insightful self-discovery and deep reflection book integrating evidence-based mindfulness practices to increase self-awareness, supporting addictive and criminogenic behaviours to lose their grip.
With decades of experience supporting individuals, leaders, teams, and organisations through behavioural and cultural change, Mary-Anne advocates for a new era in mental health — one that prioritises strengthening capacity and regulation as the foundation for embodied safety, rather than crisis response.
She is a trauma-informed, evidence-based practitioner grounded in self-paced, embodied practice, informed by both professional training and her own lived experience of trauma and chronic addictive patterns. A member of the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association, Certified Practising Counsellors of Australia (CPCA) — an NDIS-recognised body — and the Institute of International Complementary Therapists,
Through retreats, workshops, coaching, and community programs, In partnership with The Mental Health Training Hub, which delivers live online classes, the vision in the first instance is to strengthen 10,000 minds by November 2027 — prioritising emotional stability, nervous system safety, and practical capacity-building so choice is restored.
